I used the GPS Portable Car Navigation System, "Mini Gorilla". The model was NV-SB250DT and made by SANYO. And now, I use Model : NV-SB540DT.
This model has;
8GB SSD
Digital TV Tuner
MP3 player
Battery
5.2 V type wide TFT screen
Real-time traffic information system (VICS: vehicle information and communication system).
Gyro sensors for estimating height and horizontal movement direction and a acceleration sensor for measuring driving distance and speed.
NV-SB540DT is supplied with the following items.
1) NV-SB540DT unit
2) Parking brake sensor cable
3) Car cigar lighter cable for power source
4) Car Mounting kit (including mounting bracket)
5) Film Antenna kit for VICS
6) AC100V cable
7) Operation manual and some documents
This unit with a built-in GPS antenna/receiver. So I need to confirm the position that the unit can be tracking GPS at all times before the car navigation mounting bracket is put on the dashboard. Also, should confirm if the front view is hidden by this positioning or not. After that, I put the mounting bracket on the following position.
Next. Wiring the parking brake sensor cable
Actually, this cable should be connected to the brake sensor. But if the screw (M2.6 x 10) is inserted into the sensor port of the navigation unit, this function is canceled.
Next. Installation of VICS Film Antenna.
Remove the cover of A pillar.
Put film antenna on the top of front window.
Next. Wiring the VICS antenna cable
Finish!
GPS Portable Car Navigation System, Mini Gorilla NV-SB540DT is very small unit. But it has a 5.2 V type wide TFT screen (Very clear map) and 8GB data. When I drive a car in the tunnel or under the overpass, the information of GPS is lost. But it has gyro sensors for estimating height and horizontal movement direction and a acceleration sensor for measuring driving distance and speed. And also, real-time traffic information system (VICS: vehicle information and communication system) is very useful function.
Anyway, it's very useful GPS portable car navigation system for me!
